Welcome to Alison Marie Jewelry. By purchasing from this website or engaging in custom work, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure clarity, care, and a positive experience for both client and maker.
Handmade & One-of-a-Kind Jewelry
All Alison Marie Jewelry pieces are handcrafted and often one of a kind. Natural variations in gemstones, metal texture, patina, and finish are part of the beauty of handmade work and are not considered defects.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change. Payment is required in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed upon for custom work. Custom orders require a deposit before work begins (see Custom Order Agreement below).
Shipping
Orders over $50 ship free within the United States.
Ready-to-wear pieces typically ship within 3–5 business days. Custom and fine jewelry timelines vary and will be discussed during the design process.
Once an order has shipped, Alison Marie Jewelry is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping carrier. Tracking information will be provided when available.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your Alison Marie piece. Ready-to-wear jewelry may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase, provided it is unworn and in its original condition.
Custom, personalized, and made-to-order pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, as they are created specifically for you.
For shipped orders, if your piece arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can assess the issue and determine the best way to make it right.
Repairs
Jewelry is made to be worn, and over time, normal wear and tear is expected. While this is not considered a defect, we’re always happy to help you care for your piece and explore repair options when possible.
Repair services are available for Alison Marie Jewelry pieces. Repair costs and timelines vary depending on the piece and work required. We’ll discuss the details and approve any costs with you before repairs begin.
Because each piece is handmade, some repairs may not be possible or may require an alternative solution. We’ll always do our best to preserve the character and integrity of your jewelry.

Custom jewelry is a collaborative, intentional process.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin all custom work. This deposit secures materials, stone sourcing, and studio time. The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to shipment or pickup.
Because custom pieces are made specifically for the client, all custom orders are final sale. Any changes requested after design approval may affect pricing and timeline.
Jewelry Care
Your Alison Marie jewelry is handmade from natural metals and materials, and part of the beauty of these pieces is that they will evolve with you over time. A little care will help preserve their finish and keep them looking beautiful for years to come.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to oxygen, moisture, oils, and certain chemicals. Tarnishing is completely normal and is not a sign of damage or poor quality.
In fact, sterling silver often does better when it is worn regularly. The natural movement and contact with your skin and clothing can help keep the surface polished.
When your jewelry isn't being worn, store it in a dry, enclosed space, ideally in an individual jewelry pouch or box to minimize exposure to air and moisture. Avoid storing sterling silver loose in a humid bathroom.
Brass
Brass naturally develops a patina over time. Depending on how you wear and store your piece, it may become darker, warmer, or more muted in tone. This is a natural characteristic of the metal and part of its evolving character.
Regular wear, proper storage, and occasional gentle cleaning can help maintain its appearance.
Gold Fill
Gold fill is a durable layer of genuine gold bonded to a base metal and is designed to withstand everyday wear. With proper care, it can maintain its beautiful finish for a long time.
Like all jewelry, gold fill can be affected by prolonged exposure to chemicals, moisture, and abrasion. Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising, or using products containing harsh chemicals whenever possible.
Water, Swimming & Chemicals
We recommend removing your jewelry before swimming in pools or the ocean, particularly when chlorine, salt, or other harsh chemicals are present. Prolonged exposure can contribute to tarnishing, discoloration, or damage to certain finishes and materials.
That said, you don't need to panic if your jewelry gets wet. If your piece is exposed to salt water, chlorine, sweat, sunscreen, or other products, gently rinse it with clean water and dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. Washing away residue can help reduce the effects of prolonged exposure.
Avoid using household cleaners, abrasive materials, or harsh polishing products unless specifically recommended for your piece.
Everyday Storage
When you're not wearing your jewelry, keep it clean, dry, and protected. Store pieces individually when possible to prevent scratching, tangling, and unnecessary exposure to moisture and air.
Some natural changes in color, patina, and finish are part of the life of a handmade piece. Your jewelry is meant to be worn, loved, and lived in.
